A stop-motion animated film offers a distinctly organic look that falls somewhere between an animation and a live-action production. Using puppets, cut-outs, or clay, stop-motion animation springs to life an inanimate object by incrementally moving it every after shooting one frame. While it is not as popular as traditional or hand-drawn animation during its heyday and computer animation these days, when 3D movies are more prevalent, the stop-motion technique has its own share of patrons.
